Membership of Prayas Theatre is open to anyone who shares our love of South Asian performing arts. As a financial member you have a genuine say in how we operate — and you help make the work possible.

What you get

One membership. Full rights.

Prayas Theatre has one class of membership — Member. Every financial member, regardless of how much they contribute, holds the same rights under our Constitution:

Attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting
Participate in Society activities and events
Access Society information and records
Stand for election to the Executive Committee

$50/year. One membership.

Concession rate ($35) is available for students, senior citizens, and Community Services Card holders.

Other Membership Categories

In addition to general membership, Prayas Theatre recognises two honorary categories under our Constitution:

By election at General Meeting

Life Member

Awarded by two-thirds majority vote at a General Meeting to individuals who have rendered highly valued services to Prayas. Life Members hold full membership rights and are exempt from annual subscriptions.

By election at General Meeting

Honorary Member

Awarded by two-thirds majority vote at a General Meeting to individuals who have rendered services to Prayas or to the performing arts. An honorary position without membership rights or obligations.
