Rishabh Kapoor

Rishabh Kapoor has been an integral part of Prayas Theatre since 2015 and serves as the company’s Executive Director, overseeing production operations, company management, and overall creative delivery.

An internationally award-winning actor, Rishabh has worked across theatre and film in New Zealand and internationally. He received the Best Actor award at the Rode Reel Film Festival and has featured in multiple award-winning short films across international festivals. His theatre work also includes lead roles in productions such as Meet the Fakkas, a Niuean stage production.

His notable performances with Prayas include leading roles of Charudatta in The Clay Cart (Mricchakatika) (TAPAC, 2023) and Dara. His first appearance was in A Fine Balance (2015), which continued in the second season in 2019 co-produced by Auckland Theatre Company and Prayas, directed by Ahi Karunaharan.

Beyond acting, Rishabh has directed and produced for Prayas, including Pitārā, and remains closely involved in front-of-house operations, hosting, and season logistics.
