Ahi Karunaharan is a multi award winning actor, writer and director.A graduate of Toi Whakaari New Zealand School of Drama and Victoria University, Ahi has worked with Internationally acclaimed Theatre Companies across the globe and has presented works at major international Arts Festivals and numerous venues across Aotearoa.
Ahi’s first production for Prayas was as an actor for Kingdom of Cards in 2011, and since then he has worked with the company as a director on critically acclaimed works such as Rudali, A Fine Balance and the Auckland Theatre Award winning Swabhoomi. Prayas Co-Produced Ahi’s first play The Mourning After’ and also Co-presented the experimental anthology show First World Problems.
Ahi is the artistic Director of Agaram Productions and currently works for Basement Theatre and freelancers as a director and dramaturg for various organisations and Theatre companies.
