Ankita is a multi-disciplinary producer and writer hailing from Chandigarh and Kirikiriroa. Having studied Communications, Ankita has a keen interest in culture, mass media and the influence representation can have on audiences and society. Ankita entered the theatre world through a yearlong internship with Indian Ink Theatre company where she created the imagery and developed the marketing campaigns for “Mrs Krishnan’s Party” and “Welcome to the Murder House”.
Her recently portfolio includes producing “I am Rachel Chu”, Chromacon 2019, “First World Problems” (in association with Agaram Productions & Prayas Theatre), and Short+Sweet Auckland Festival 2018. She was one the writers selected for Oryza Foundation’s first “Asian Playwrights Lab” and is due to showcase her work as one of the playwrights for PAT’s “Fresh of the Page” 2019 series.
