Farhein Akmal was born and raised in India. She moved to New Zealand in 2016. She started her journey in Prayas with First World Problem 2.0 in 2019. She enjoys the vibe of theatre and the journey of creating art, because of which she has taken on more responsibilities for the company by being involved in the Executive Committee in 2020.

Farhein is a self-taught dancer and has performed in various events in India and in New Zealand. She has also choreographed a few dance performances in New Zealand for Indian Weekender and Auckland Diwali Festival. She loves travelling, therefore never misses a chance to travel and explore the world. She has a youtube channel too where she uploads her dance videos and travel videos.

In her day job, she works as an Analyst for Health Intelligence team at Counties Manukau District Health Board, Auckland.
